Design Guild Mark & CDW 2025

Now we’ve been home for a week and let the dust settle, here’s a short recap of what we’ve been up to at CDW25

We made the trip from Oxfordshire to London for Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, and what a few days it turned out to be. First stop: the KI Showroom, for a filmed interview before the Design Guild Mark ceremony took place. We're incredibly proud (and still slightly in shock) to say that the Ox stool/side table was awarded a Design Guild Mark—an honour that recognises the best in British furniture design.

Even more surreal was hearing Sebastian Conran, speak before the award presentation. A design legend in his own right, his words and presence made the moment feel all the more meaningful.

The Ox was also out and about in Clerkenwell, popping up as part of the Collate workshop, a group show featuring beautifully made pieces from a crop of talented British designers. It was great to see the stool in conversation with other fresh ideas, raw materials, clever forms, and honest craft all rubbing shoulders.

Beyond the official stuff, the week was filled with what Clerkenwell does best: bumping into brilliant people, talking shop, swapping thoughts on materials and making, and sipping just the right amount of Aperol Spritz in the sun.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and supported what we’re doing. We're heading back to Oxfordshire feeling grateful, slightly knackered, but full of ideas.
