Returns & Alterations

At Trouble Studio, our products are crafted with care and often made to order. Due to this bespoke nature, cancellations or full refunds cannot be accepted after 14 days of placing an order, or once an item has been shipped or delivered. Please double-check all details and materials before confirming your order.

For in-stock items purchased directly from our website, cancellations, partial refunds, or returns may be considered at our discretion within 14 days. delivery costs, and other applicable charges will apply.

Bespoke pieces are non-refundable after 14 days. Any post-order changes or additional design work will incur additional charges.

We take pride in delivering high-quality products, but if an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days with detailed descriptions and photos. We'll assess and arrange repairs or replacements where necessary. However, refunds, discounts, or compensation cannot be provided.

Delays caused by natural events, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances are beyond our control, and we cannot offer compensation in such cases.

Delivery & Shipping

Most items are made to order and follow the current estimated lead time listed on our website under the “Delivery/Lead Time” section. Lead times are reviewed regularly and may change without notice, so we advise customers to check this section when placing an order.

For products with specific lead times (e.g., Ready to Ship or Homeware items), the details will be listed on the product page.

While we strive to meet estimated timelines, delays may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our products. We cannot accommodate arbitrary delivery dates, nor can we offer refunds, reimbursements, or compensation for delays.

Initial delivery dates are typically within two weeks of the order's completion. Customers must notify us at least two working days in advance if they need to reschedule delivery. Delayed deliveries may incur storage charges or additional costs for rescheduling.

Warranty

At Trouble Studio, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship. All orders are covered by a 6-month warranty from the date of delivery, protecting you against defects in materials and workmanship.

Submitting a Claim
If you notice a defect, please contact us in writing within the warranty period at contact@troublestudio.co with a detailed description and photographic evidence. Once we receive your claim, we’ll assess whether the issue falls under the warranty and determine the next steps—either a repair or replacement.

Repairs and Replacements

  • Repairs: If the item requires repair, we will decide whether it can be fixed on-site or must be returned to our workshop. Workshop repairs typically take up to two weeks, plus delivery time. Please note, for on-site repairs involving oiled finishes, customers may need to apply an additional coat of oil 4-6 hours after our team’s visit.

  • Replacements: If a replacement is needed, we’ll arrange to collect the defective item when delivering the new one.

Exclusions
The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Fair wear and tear.

  • Misuse, including failure to follow our Care Guide or storage recommendations.

  • Damage from moving, negligence, willful damage, or environmental factors (e.g., humidity, temperature changes).

  • Natural movement of wood, such as minor expansion, contraction, small gaps in joints, or opening shakes.

  • Natural variations in wood grain, color, or other inherent features in materials.

  • Bespoke items that were not prototyped or tested.

  • Alterations made by unauthorized individuals or companies (voids the warranty).

Care Recommendations
To extend the life of your furniture, we recommend using coasters and placemats to protect surfaces. Damage caused by wet, damp, or hot items placed directly on the furniture will be considered misuse and is not covered under the warranty.

Please note, wood is a natural material and may exhibit seasonal movement or changes due to environmental conditions. These characteristics are normal and not considered defects.

Pricing and Product Adjustments

We reserve the right to adjust the pricing of our products at any time due to fluctuations in material costs, changes in manufacturing expenses, or modifications made to a product within its lifecycle. While we strive to maintain stable pricing, external factors such as supplier costs, market conditions, and design enhancements may necessitate changes.

  • Pre-Order and Custom Orders: If a pricing adjustment occurs after you have placed a pre-order or custom order but before production has commenced, we will notify you of any changes and provide the option to proceed at the revised price or cancel your order for a full refund.

  • Ongoing Product Development: As part of our commitment to quality and innovation, we may refine or update product designs over time. These updates may result in variations in pricing or specifications. However, orders already confirmed and in production will not be affected by subsequent changes.

  • Errors and Omissions: In the event of a pricing or description error on our website or marketing materials, we reserve the right to correct such errors and will inform affected customers as soon as possible.
