  • Care & Responsibility

BLOK is made from solid, raw cast concrete. This material gives it its unique character, but also means:

    • It is heavy — please handle with care to avoid injury.

    • It has a hard, textured surface — if placed directly on delicate surfaces, it may cause scratches or marks. We recommend using a soft pad or cloth underneath where necessary.

    • It is not a toy — keep out of reach of children and pets.

    • It is handmade — each piece is individually cast, and natural variations such as small chips on edges, air bubbles, colour inconsistencies, or surface marks are part of the process. These are not defects, but features that make every BLOK unique.

    • It may be slightly dusty at first — as with all raw concrete, a little surface dust is normal in the early stages of its life and will settle over time.

By purchasing BLOK, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to handle and use the product safely. Trouble Studio cannot be held liable for any damage to property, injury, or other issues arising from misuse, mishandling, or accidents involving BLOK.

Treat it with respect — it will last a lifetime.

Designer profile :

Matthew Coules

“Blok was born from a personal keepsake. Years ago, while designing concrete skateparks, I took a small cube of concrete home on my last day , a memento of the craft and time spent shaping those spaces. Over the years, that unassuming block proved itself endlessly useful: a bookend, a doorstop, a paperweight, and simply an object I enjoyed having around.”

That original cube inspired the first in the Blok Collection: Blok , a solid cast concrete cube, minimal yet versatile. It’s a sculptural statement that adapts to function.
